Privacy Policy

We receive your email address, an account identifier, and any name provided by your sign-in provider. We also process the notes, messages, links, photos, audio, videos and files you add; search queries; subscription status; and technical information needed for authentication, security and service operation, such as device, network and error data. We do not use this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

Muem uses encryption in transit and for stored content. The current service can read content when needed to sync it, generate previews, index it for search, and provide features you request. It is not end-to-end encrypted, and we do not claim that Muem cannot read your content. Avoid storing information you would not want processed this way.

To help you find saved items, Muem can process message text, images and audio to create descriptions, transcripts, keywords and search indexes. Selected content and search requests may be sent to configured AI or transcription providers to perform these features. We use the results to provide Muem's search and assistant features, not to sell your content or build advertising profiles.

We use providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, sign-in, bot protection, search or AI processing, and subscriptions. They receive only information needed for their role. Apple and Google may receive information when you choose their sign-in or payment services. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect people or the service, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.

When you use email sign-in in the Muem app or on muem.app, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse, sometimes without a visible challenge. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent, site key and site origin, and may use essential cookies or similar technologies. Cloudflare also uses these signals to improve bot detection. We use the verification result to protect sign-in, not for advertising.

Apple processes App Store purchases and payment details. RevenueCat helps us verify purchases and synchronize your Muem Plus entitlement using your account identifier, product and transaction status. If web checkout becomes available, its payment provider will process payment information. We do not need your full payment card number to provide Muem.

We keep account and content data while your account is active, and may retain limited records afterward when needed for legal, tax, fraud prevention or dispute purposes. Deleting your account from Settings removes associated active database records and stored attachments; some copies may persist temporarily in backups or provider systems under their retention rules. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

You can manage or delete saved content in Muem and delete your account from Settings. You can also contact us to ask about access, correction, export or deletion of personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify that a request comes from the account holder and retain information where the law requires it.

Muem is not designed to collect personal information from children without the consent required by local law. If you believe a child has provided information without required permission, contact us. We may update this policy as features or providers change and will update the effective date or give additional notice where required.
